Crazy Circuitry
Hello and welcome to the third Principia building contest. These are... becoming sorta-yearly now, apparently.
The theme for this contest is... Circuits!
You have probably seen a level on the community site before that features a lot of wires and circuitry and thought "Wow, that's a lot of circuits". An impressive feat of electrical engineering with an enormous amount of cables attached, the structure of which is only known to the level author.
So your objective for this contest is to basically create something that features as much circuitry as possible. You are given a lot of freedom to decide what this theme would entail for your own level, so go wild!
For examples of levels showing what you would be going for, see The Amazing Zardoputer 5.3 or Rubicon's Simple Calculator.
Rules
- No LuaScript objects are allowed. While they may represent a kind of FPGA device in this context, you can fit a lot of logic into one very compact object, which would defeat the point of the contest!
- Old levels created before the contest are not eligble for entry.
- Theft of entire levels is not allowed. Inspiration is allowed, plagiarism is not.
Scoring
Once the contest is over, a winner and a runner-up will be decided by the contest judge (ROllerozxa). Both will get their levels featured on the front page as well as awarded a stylish trophy on their user page (...Whenever I implement this).
Depending on the amount of entries, there may be some other level entries that will be highlighted, for things that are interesting but didn't make it to the top.
Timeframe
The contest was started at 16 February 2026.
The contest ended at 2 March 2026 12:00:00. The results may be published with some delay.
