There is a Matrix link on the home page that links to a page that says that the Matrix space was shut down because of issues with the (Matrix to Discord?) bridge. I don't know the details about what went wrong with the bridge, but I would like to see the Matrix space be restarted with some kind of new bridging to the Discord server. Because I really wouldn't want to have to use Discord again.

(If there is something I could help with, like taking care of running the bridge, I'm willing to do so... to the best of my abilities)

My suggestion for bridge hosting that I'd be going with is Matterbridge. AFAIK it does not need a Matrix homeserver, which should be good for me to host without too much worry. It can do a lot more than just Matrix and Discord, but that is likely what would work the best, IRC is too basic. I have some hardware I can stuff somewhere to run it on hopefully.

This doesn't affect those who're on custom ROMs even with GApps right? I think they would need deeper changes to Android to make this work than just shipping an update to Play Services. Concerning nontheless.
