I don't know if you could call it a car, but whatever. Single layer!

Left slider controls the speed, right button toggles reverse mode (Debugger lights up on reverse).

Also, I really should add a safety belt... Ehh, the dummies can probably take it. Plastic beams are slidier than I thought though.
